DAVID DUBER

Founder & Managing Director

David M. Duber is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of District Lodging Capital (DLC), a Washington, D.C.–based real estate investment firm focused on opportunistic and value-add investments in hospitality and mixed-use assets. With more than a decade of experience in commercial real estate, David has led the acquisition of nearly $100 million in assets, including four hotels, a mixed-use retail, office, and residential property, and a multi-tenanted agricultural property currently being redeveloped into a dog boarding and training facility.

Prior to founding DLC in 2020, David spent three years at The Buccini/Pollin Group (BPG), where he played an integral role in sourcing, underwriting, structuring, and closing more than $750 million in hospitality transactions across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. Earlier in his career, David joined CBRE through the firm’s prestigious Wheel Program and later transitioned to CBRE Hotels, where he worked as a financial analyst supporting hotel valuation, transaction advisory, capital markets marketing, and complex financial modeling assignments.

David is deeply committed to civic and nonprofit engagement. He serves on the boards of the Georgetown Business Improvement District, the Federal City Council, the DC Cornell Hotel Society, and the National Links Trust. He also chairs the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington’s Next Generation Philanthropy initiative and the HEROES Young Professionals Board, supporting community development, philanthropy, and historic preservation efforts throughout the region.

David graduated from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration in 2014 and was a member of the university’s Sprint Football Team. In 2018, he was recognized by Hotel Management Magazine as one of the hotel industry’s “Thirty Under 30” rising stars. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in Washington, D.C.
